NEW YORK (Worthy News) – A senior official says the United Nations is “terrified” that ex-President Donald J. Trump might be re-elected in November, according to a leaked recording reviewed by Worthy News on Friday.
The undercover footage was shared by podcaster Steven Crowder’s “Mug Club.”
It features Jorge Paoletti, an associate legal officer in the U.N. Office of Legal Affairs, and was recorded on August 7.
In the recording, Paoletti calls himself “the definition of a globalist” before raising concerns about Trump’s potential return to the White House.
“I’m not sure the United Nations as an institution is going to survive a second term by Donald Trump,” he said. “Because the purpose of Donald Trump is to end the international institutions that somehow level the playing field.”
Paoletti added that Trump supporters want “America first.” He later acknowledged that some may be opposed to the U.N.’s goal of creating “an identity of a global citizen,” calling it frustrating for “ultra-nationalists.”
“So, does the U.N. not want [Trump]?” the person recording the video wondered
“I mean, we are terrified. They’re terrified,” Paoletti stressed.
‘NOBODY WANTS TRUMP’
“Absolutely nobody wants Trump … because the purpose of Donald Trump is to end the international institutions that somehow level the playing field. He wants America first,” the official noticed.
Paoletti added that he dreads Trump’s “America First” policies interfering with the U.N.’s globalist agenda.
“One of the objectives of the U.N. is to create an identity of a global citizen, someone who shares an identity, a political identity, with everybody on this planet. [This idea] is a threat to the absolute power of the United States because [Americans] don’t want an institution over the U.S. telling the U.S. what to do.”
After the footage emerged, U.N. spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric told “Mug Club” that Paoletti was not speaking on behalf of the organization.
“We work well with all leaders who lead the various member states,” Dujarric said.
“When someone is recorded without their knowledge in a private setting, I don’t think any good journalist could interpret it as being the official position of the United Nations,” he argued.
When asked whether there will be any “discussion” with Paoletti, Dujarric said he has “no information to share.”
ATTORNEY GENERAL
The footage also caught the attention of Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey, who declared his U.S. state would “never cede our sovereignty or our rights to the U.N.”
“This is the same U.N. I have taken legal action against to halt their disgusting policies that violate Americans’ constitutional rights,” Bailey wrote on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
Trump was expected to revisit controversies surrounding the United Nations
Paoletti complained that the U.S. has undue influence as the largest financial contributor to the U.N., funding 22 percent of its budget.
If was unclear whether he favors less American money going to the U.N. and which nation would make up for the financial shortfall.
However, Paoletti fears Trump will refuse to follow the United Nations mandates.
