TEHRAN (Worthy News) – Iran’s supreme leader has appeared to condemn United States President Donald J. Trump’s proposal for the U.S. to take over Gaza and turn it into “the Riviera of the Middle East.”
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei accused the U.S. of “redrawing the map of the world.”
Speaking to Iranian air force officers in Tehran, the supreme leader also suggested that Iran may threaten the U.S. with unspecified actions, just days after the Islamic Republic unveiled a potentially nuclear-capable missile.
“The Americans sit, redrawing the map of the world — but only on paper, as it has no basis in reality,” the Iranian leader added.
“They make statements about us, express opinions, and issue threats. If they threaten us, we will threaten them in return. If they act on their threats, we will act on ours. If they violate the security of our nation, we will, without a doubt, respond in kind.”
There was no immediate response from Washington or Israel, but the latest comments were expected to heighten tensions in the Middle East.
