Netanyahu Has Approved Iranian Targets for Air Strikes, Source

Background

by Karen Faulkner, Worthy News Correspondent

(Worthy News) – Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has approved which Iranian targets are to be hit during the anticipated Israeli response to Iran’s second missile barrage against the Jewish state earlier this month, an Israeli source told ABC News yesterday (October 16). The first barrage came on April 14.

US officials are reported to have confirmed that Netanyahu agreed to the Biden administration’s request to hold off on attacking Iran’s oil and nuclear sites in the interests of preventing an all-out regional war and protecting Israeli and American interests in the Middle East.

Israel is planning to respond after Iran targeted the Jewish state with more than 200 missiles on Oct. 1. Sirens were triggered across the country causing citizens to run to shelters and safe rooms amid sounds of explosions.

Vowing retaliation for the attack, Netanyahu said Iran’s regime had made a “big mistake” and would “pay for it.” The US also condemned the attack and promised Iran would face “severe consequences” for it. The US also said it was in talks with Israel about what that response would be.

ABC’s source would not give any information on the targets Netanyahu has approved, nor on whether they are solely military targets. No date has so far been given for Israel’s response to Iran, ABC News said.
