JERUSALEM/BEIRUT (Worthy News) – An Israel Defense Forces (IDF) drone fired at a funeral attended by “Hezbollah terrorists” in Kafr Kila, southern Lebanon, and shot several suspects who approached Israeli forces, Israeli and Lebanese sources say.
One person was reportedly killed, and several more were wounded.
The IDF said it is currently investigating the incident, which comes as tensions remain high in the region after earlier Israeli troops crushed Hezbollah forces who attacked Israel. Earlier on Saturday, the IDF confirmed carrying out a drone strike in southern Lebanon, targeting a Hezbollah operative.
The operative was “involved in the rehabilitation of terror infrastructure and directing Hezbollah terror operations in southern Lebanon,” the military says.
Separately, the IDF confirmed carrying out an airstrike in the northern Gaza Strip earlier Sunday, saying it targeted a group of “terror operatives” attempting “to plant a bomb near troops.”
Palestinian media said two were killed in the strike in Gaza City’s eastern Shejaiya neighborhood.
An Israeli Air Force drone carried out the strike, and not artillery shelling as Palestinian media reported, Israeli sources said.
