(Worthy News) – Israeli security forces announced Thursday that the Israel Defense Forces and the Shin Bet eliminated a senior operative in Iran’s Quds Force during a strike in northeastern Lebanon.
The target was identified as Hossein Hussein Mahmoud Marshad al-Jawhari, a key figure in Quds Force operations under Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Israeli officials said al-Jawhari was involved in Iran-directed terrorist activity against Israel and Israeli security forces. Another terrorist, Majed Qansoua, was also killed in the strike.
The IDF said the operation targeted Unit 840, the Quds Force’s external operations arm responsible for advancing Iranian terror plots abroad, stressing Israel will continue acting against threats posed by Iran and its proxies. Lebanese media earlier reported an Israeli strike in the area, later confirmed by Israeli officials.
