(Worthy News) – The Israeli Air Force conducted a major military exercise this week, simulating a large-scale Iranian missile assault on key IDF installations previously targeted by Tehran during its strikes in April and October 2024, according to YNet News.
The drill focused on scenarios involving waves of ballistic missiles and low-cost, long-range drones—mirroring the tactics used in those earlier attacks.
The simulated strikes targeted strategic air bases, likely including Nevatim and Ramon, which were hit in last year’s Iranian offensives, Kan News reported.
The exercises aimed to test Israel’s ability to detect, intercept, and neutralize a complex, multi-layered aerial threat, reinforcing its readiness to defend critical infrastructure.
According to the IDF, the drill was part of a broader effort to boost operational coordination across multiple branches of the military amid escalating tensions with Iran.
Israel’s defense establishment believes it has only a limited window—possibly just a few months—to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities. IDF officials would prefer to launch a strike on Iran while General Michael Kurilla remains head of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), citing his strong track record of support and close cooperation with both the IDF and the Israeli Air Force, according to Ynet News.
