(Worthy News) – Israel announced Wednesday that it has completed a major phase of its military campaign against Iran, declaring that nearly all predesignated “vital and strategic” targets have been successfully struck under Operation Roaring Lion.
According to an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) official, the Israeli Air Force carried out coordinated strikes on Iran’s military-industrial infrastructure and nuclear-related facilities, rendering much of the regime’s operational capacity ineffective. The official said the damage inflicted is expected to significantly delay Tehran’s ability to rebuild its ballistic missile and nuclear programs.
Even as the operation reached a key milestone, Iran responded with a large-scale barrage of ballistic missiles aimed at Israel, in what officials described as an attempt to disrupt Passover celebrations. The IDF continued intercepting incoming threats while expanding strikes on regime-linked targets in Tehran.
Simultaneously, Israel opened a new front in southern Lebanon, where multiple IDF divisions advanced along a newly established “yellow line” designed to push Hezbollah forces farther from Israel’s northern border. Troops are now encircling key strongholds, including Bint Jbeil, which military leaders expect to become a central battleground.
Israeli forces also reported the elimination of several Hezbollah terrorists, including a senior commander tied to the group’s southern front operations. Despite these gains, officials acknowledged ongoing challenges in suppressing dispersed rocket and mortar fire launched from civilian areas in Lebanon.
Military leaders say new targeting methods are already improving response times, with a noticeable decrease in rocket fire from Lebanon—though attacks have not fully ceased.
The developments mark a significant escalation in the regional conflict, as Israel presses forward on multiple fronts while seeking to neutralize long-term threats from both Iran and its allied forces.
