Netanyahu’s personal calendar played a critical role in the misinformation campaign. Despite previously cautioning Israel against launching a strike, Trump affirmed America’s support: “We will defend Israel if necessary,” he said. Secretary of State Marco Rubio added in a separate statement, “Iran should not target U.S. interests or personnel,” underscoring the administration’s regional posture.
Strategic Momentum for Israel
Unlike the October 7 surprise attack by Hamas that left Israel reeling, this time Israel held the initiative. The strike has altered the regional equation, buying Israel strategic breathing room and resetting deterrence with Iran.
